![]() You will spend a lot of time waiting for the tram to take you anywhere since everything is pretty far apart, and the transportation system is confusing. The beach is pretty, but unusable for swimming or water sports. Also, there is a lack of food options that are available before 5pm. There is not much for entertainment or activities either, besides some music at the restaurants. There is no nightlife, as everything closes at 10pm. But if you are between the ages of 18-40 I would recommend an all inclusive with a usable beach. This resort definitely caters to a certain crowd, if you are a family or you are older and have extra money to spend then you may enjoy it more. The staff is friendly, but service can be a bit slow. I will say that the grounds are very nice and well kept, right down to the rocks that we saw being individually hand washed before being meticulously placed. No need to rent a car, we never left the resort. We had to pay a $450 resort fee for the transfer from the airport and a twice a day maid service and it was very worth it. We got into this resort by trading into Interval International. They did give us $200 credit towards our food and drinks even though we wouldn't do the presentation and I was grateful they put us in a nice room regardless. We did NOT do the presentation and had to be pretty direct with our "no" "no" "NO" on that one. This place is pure paradise and everything was perfect. We bought breakfast items at the cute grocery store and ate our lunch/dinner at the restaurants near the beach. So anyway, if you go, choose the dinner or just the show if you want to save money. They were ridiculously little, like bird food, and we don't like champagne so we pretty much wasted our money on that. We just looked down at all the people having a great time while we ate our teeny tiny baby appetizers. I was SOOOOO wishing we had experienced the dinner. We went to Circe De Sole Joya and en"joyed" it! We chose the appetizers and regretted not paying a bit more for the dinner. They have a crocodile sanctuary and we always saw at least one hanging out every day we walked by. The resort is paradise!! I loved walking along the boardwalks through the lush tropical forest. There was only one day the waves were too high and the water was murky, Otherwise it was perfect. Anyway, all you need to do is go into the water between the two lifeguard stations. There are cement reef ball foundations about 30 feet out in the water and it's where all the fish hang out. We saw hundreds of fish, an octopus, stingrays and lobsters. Answer: Water shoes! If you're wondering if you should bring your snorkel gear - DO! It's AMAZING!! We brought our snorkel gear (mask, snorkel and flotation device) and spent nearly every day enjoying all the sea creatures. …įor some reason the reviews say it's too rocky to snorkel at this resort. You can get pesos at the atm at the airport. Most vendors accept most forms of payments ours even had contactless pay but we suggest bring pesos and dollars. Purchase your tours with the vendors on the beach it will be way cheaper and you contribute to the local economy. Water is included and you can get some at the front desk. They have a store for you to get snacks and drinks. And bring beach shoes since the rocks make it hard to get in the ocean but beach shoes will make it a better experience. The seafood is great but I would stay away from the farm raised salmon choose the local fish. Kind people and the atmosphere is pleasant. Isn’t that what the resort fee is for? The walls of the room I stayed were paper thin we and the neighbors heard it all! The staff is nice and they all speak English. And a daily fee for sanitation and room charge a total of about $8 daily. I don’t know how Mexico works but don’t they use their own money to fund their foundation to get tax breaks? They also charge a resort fee of $150 to foreigners. They include a donation to their foundation on your bill automatically without making as optimal or even advertising what they do at their foundation then when you about to pay they tell you is optional but say it’s for the kids. If you don’t say they don’t give you 10% at checkout. They started to call at 9am offering some kind of service later to find out is their timeshare presentation.
